Vacation, part deux
One last picture of Lindsay on her 10th birthday- celebrating with Daddy
Time to celebrate Nathan's 9th birthday!!
We enjoyed a wonderful day at Thanksgiving Point with Gramma, the Oldhams, and Amy's parents. It was also Amy's birthday, so we had 2 reasons to celebrate! Here we are at the dinosaur museum where the kids had a blast creating dinosaur environments complete with rivers and trees at the water and sand exhibit.
Gramma, Kaylee and Hannah reading about dinosaurs
Such a pretty face!
Cheering on the dinosaurs?
Run away, run away!!!
We enjoyed a delicious lunch at the deli. If you ever find yourself at the deli at Thanksgiving Point, have a Thanksgiving turkey sandwich. Mmmmm!
Now we are in line waiting for the slowest horse-drawn wagon on the planet.
Nathan is such a great kid...every family needs a Nathan! He is so responsible, helpful, sensitive to the needs of others, and so very generous with everything he has. What a treasure!!
Still waiting...lots of time for pictures!
After our time at Thanksgiving Point, we had birthday brownies with Gramma, Aunt Bobbie, Uncle Ray and Aunt Stephanie. We also packed our stuff and prepared for our long drive home. I'm not sure why this is underlining, but I can't figure out how to make it stop. Gotta love computers.
The end...finally! Thanks for reading along. :)

Home again
We're back in the desert again, and thankful the temps are cool and breezy! We had a wonderful time in Utah-it's a little rough adjusting back to the ol' schedule (homeschooling began today, which went over like a lead balloon). The boys go back to school tomorrow, and they are equally thrilled. :) We did, however, come home to a filled refrigerator (thanks, Mom, Dad and Ginger!) and beautiful flowers in our flower garden (thank you Ginger, Chris, Alex, Audrey and Lily!) which were both WONDERFUL surprises! Like I've said before, we have fabulous friends and family.
Here are some pictures from our trip.
Yummy lattes in Park City! It began snowing this day, so the hot coffee was very soothing! :)
Happy 10th Birthday, Lindsay!
She wanted a horse, but she settled for a Nintendo DS and a game involving horses. :)
Fun at Gateway outdoor mall in SLC. We went to the children's museum and some of us went to the planetarium.
We spent Lindsay's birthday at Hogle Zoo. The traveling exhibit was this rare white alligator. Uncle Charlie joined us as a special treat for Lindsay!
CR and Hannah
Nathan, Lindsay and Kaylee
The gang (including Amy's parents) at Training Table restaurant
What a pleasure to celebrate such a sweet girl. Hard to believe she's ten years old already. Ten is a funny age...kind of the border between "little girl" and "young lady." We're very proud of her.

I'll post part 2 of our trip soon. Now that I can actually post pictures again, I'll try to keep up more regularly.

Vacations Rock!
What a great way to spend a day. Today we lounged around all morning, which in and of itself was sweet. Then my mom, aunt and I went to lunch and shopping while Joe and the kids went to the park. We all met back up in the afternoon for board games and more lounging. We are looking forward to meeting up with friends and family throughout the week, as well as enjoying the local amusement park with CR, Amy and their kids this weekend. Next week, Mom and I are hosting a baby shower for my friend Joanna (I've known her since 3rd grade) and her soon-to-be-arriving baby boy, and we're looking forward to that. It's her first baby, which is always very exciting!
